Building Barking Boxer: My Journey from Author to Apparel Designer

Every runner knows the feeling.

The early alarms. The cold mornings. The workouts that break you down so you can build back stronger. The quiet moments when you decide whether you’re going to coast… or commit.

Barking Boxer was born in those moments.

I wanted to create apparel that reflects the mindset of runners who train with purpose — athletes who show up when it’s hard, push when it hurts, and chase goals that matter. Not flashy. Not trendy. Just honest, gritty, performance‑driven designs inspired by the sport we love.

Why These Designs Exist

Rise Above - For the jumpers, hurdlers, throwers and athletes who live on the edge. It’s a celebration of power, precision, and the courage to leave the ground.

Built for the Long Run - For the distance grinders. The ones who know that endurance isn’t just physical — it’s mental. It’s patience, discipline, and the willingness to keep going when the pace gets uncomfortable.

Barking Boxer Track Club

A nod to the team mentality that makes this sport special. You may run alone, but you’re never truly alone.

Quality Matters

These aren’t cheap novelty shirts.

Every piece is printed on premium Bella + Canvas gear — soft, durable, and built for athletes who actually train. The fit is athletic, the fabric holds up to real mileage, and the prints are crisp and long‑lasting.

If you’re going to wear something during warm‑ups, cooldowns, or long travel days, it should feel good and last.

The Launch

This is the first official drop from Barking Boxer, and I couldn’t be more excited to share it. The designs are live now, and each one reflects the grit and purpose that define this sport.

If you’re a runner who trains with intention — or you’re raising one — I think you’ll feel right at home here.

Join the Journey

This is just the beginning.

More designs are coming, more stories are being written, and the Barking Boxer community is growing one athlete at a time.
